Meet the Band
Mike is the head of
our family, chief bus
driver/instrument loader,
and rhythm guitar player.
He loves playing together
with his family and sings
lead vocals in the band.
Debbie feels like the most
blessed woman on earth!
She has much joy spending
time with her family making
music together. She sings
back-up, plays the upright bass,
and is the band manager.
Zack, the oldest, is currently only an occasional player with the band as he recently got married to the beautiful Lauren and is living and studying at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. We miss his driving guitar, fiddle solos, and harmonies while he's gone, but are so proud of him as he follows what God has called him to do. He has written several of our original tunes.
Molly, our oldest daughter, has
become our very capable band
leader and set list/tune arranger. She teaches guitar, mandolin, and violin and plays all three in the band as well as helping to write tunes, and singing lead and harmonies.
Grace's funny, sweet spirit gets
us through many a long practice. She has written several of our favorite tunes and plays mandolin, guitar, and fiddle. She sings high harmony and occasionally lead.
Noah is a very accomplished
musician playing almost everything he gets his hands on with ease. He plays bluegrass and clawhammer banjo, guitar, and recently dobro. He is our bass singer and the new tune instigator, starting a song and getting the others to finish it for him.
Hannah, the youngest, gives us the "cuteness factor" with her huge smile and big dimples. She never fails to get impressed applause at the end of one of her mandolin or violin breaks. She sings several harmonies and helps her mom to learn her parts.
